 | Thank you for visiting my website! I ran my first marathon in 2002, and now I've completed over twenty marathons. Running marathons is a good challenge, but I want more. I have set a new challenge for myself as I will turn 50 years old in 2019. The challenge is to run 50 marathons by the time I turn 50 years old (50 by 50). In order to accomplish this goal, I will need to pick up the pace. As I’m challenging myself, I’m also challenging you, my friends, family and acquaintances. I need you to pick up the pace with me and support me. Your challenge is to make a charitable donation to the Foundation Fighting Blindness (FFB). I choose the FFB, because it’s an organization close to my heart. In 2002 I was diagnosed with a degenerative eye disease. This condition affects my central vision making it difficult for me to recognize small details, such as people's faces. The FFB is involved with funding research programs to cure blindness. I have run to raise money for them in the past and I believe it’s a great organization to continue helping. With your generous contributions one day they will find cures for many eye diseases, which will be beneficial to us and many generations to come.
